labour day

on the eve of labour day, i sat in a yellow beetle volkswagen. liked the yellow, but prefer the pastel green beetle. heh. went for dinner with lun at cedele at wheelock place. haha..dor was eating there too & i was aware of it, but it was the only restaurant without much of a queue! the sea bass i ordered turned out to be too salty and cost $16.90++, but i didn't wanna complain so just finished most of it. good thing there was linguine which managed to offset the salty taste. eew. seemed like salt is free.

we browsed at borders before going to lido to buy tickets for ip man 2 for saturday 12.45pm show with the regular 4 group. my rbs credit card saved us $ and each ticket only cost $8. phew! after that, we wanted to hang out somewhere for coffee but starbucks at lido was packed, so we went to tcc at international building instead. little sis & iz went to watch ironman 2 at lido at 8.30pm, so i called her to drop by tcc for coffee with us. the azuko freeze (soya bean with red bean) i ordered was not too sweet and not bad, considering that the weather was hot & humid.

even though i slept at like..2am, i woke up at 6.15am for morning walk with my family. so tired!! we parked at esplanade and made our way to the helix and checked out the newly opened marina bay sands casino. just the outside of course..we were not gonna pay $500 for 5 of us to gain entry. lol. the walk back to esplanade was quite hot though.

it was worse in the afternoon! after the movie at lido with mean, mic & lun, the plan was to go the helix again. i didn't mind..so we took a train down to city hall and had some yummy happy chocolate (mocha frappe was nice!) at max brenner's chocolate bar before walking over to the helix..for the 2nd time in a day! it was...hot..and unbelievably crowded! the crowd is comparable or more than that at orchard. in fact the overcrowding made us feel like the aircon wasn't working. =\

oh ip man 2 was great! loved ip man...haha. so manly and composed and patient and...wow!! it made me feel like joining in the fight and giving the arrogant twister a punch in the face as well. :D

basically i took a good break on labour day..saw the poor labourers at marina bay sands working away though. 辛苦他们了！ended the day with a satisfying dinner at home. :)
