home sweet home!!

I'M BACK!!! Haha..yes the cranky oddery is back in action. Though tired from the midnight flight, I feel good to be back at home! Indeed, 金窝银窝，不如自己的狗窝 (i.e. regardless of whether it's a golden nest or silver nest, it can't beat your own dog nest.) :P

My flight MU543 touched down at Changi Airport at 0620. Supposed to be an hour earlier but snow at Shanghai created some trauma and drama at Pudong Airport. Our flight was supposed to depart at 2340, but because of bad weather (snow accumulation and they had to clear the runway), the airport actually closed for a while. You can feel the anxiety in the air as there was a possibility that our flight would be delayed till the next day, which means we can't get back as scheduled! Felt that the airport staff was quite ill prepared for the "snow attack" due to lack of experience (it's the 1st time in 13 years that Shanghai has this kind of snowy weather), and they probably have to come up with better contingency plans and stuff like that.

Talking about inexperience, you should have seen the roads on our way to Pudong Airport. We saw no less than 10 car accidents. It was really quite scary, seeing so many accidents on one stretch of road, hitting you one after another. *shudders* Don't wanna think about it. Luckily our shifu (coach driver) is pro and experienced enough! We nearly had an accident too because of a taxi in front of us, but shifu reacted calmly and aptly. Phew! He's my idol.
